I had the pleasure of working with Robert directly on this emulator. He was incredibly receptive to suggestion and implemented many of my ideas. This is hands down the best C64 emulator on Android now. Excellent speed and compatibility, plenty of physical device compatibility, great little features that set it apart from the rest. Most of all, it is easy enough for ANYONE to use — and that is huge. If you've been hesitating getting into C64, there has never been a better time.
Best C64 emulator on Android. I've used many Commodore 64 emulators on many different platforms over the years. And this one is the best — all my games run flawlessly on it. I especially like the scanline image filters and aspect ratio/zoom options, which make the games look exactly how I remembered them back in the 80s on an old TV or Commodore CRT monitor. Many thanks for such a top notch emulator.
The last time I had a good C64 on my phone was in the Nokia Symbian days. Despite Android having great emulators for most platforms, all the current C64 ones were awful. Frodo was best but didn't support .tap files so most of my collection couldn't be played. I decided £2.99 was only the price of a C64 game — and it's great. Get it.
